Tutankhamen’s trumpet Recorded In July 1939 bbc 78 rpm Not Heard For 3000 Years. Condition is "Used".
The record consists of introduction by a commentator of who is going to be playing two of Tutankhamen‘s trumpets which were originally found by Carter in his tomb back in 1922 the latter on the recording is of the bronze or copper trumpet which has recently been stolen from the Cairo Museum .the first recording on the disk is of the silver trumpet and the recordings and with The commentator saying a few words at the end of the disk this is a single sided recording on the British Broadcasting Corporation label with a picture of broadcasting house on it there aren’t too many of these floating around the world I can imagine it plays at 78 rpm but it’s recorded and pressed on vinyl as opposed to shellac .The sound reproduction is very good there are a few marks to the surface of the recording but none are too deep , only a bit of light surface noise on playback otherwise quite a good playback reproduction in my opinion
