These highly collectible LPs are as notable for their period eclecticism as for their discerning taste. Pop artists like Ferrante and Teicher and Al Caiola alternate with original soundtrack performances by Marilyn Monroe, the Modern Jazz Quartet, Louis Armstrong and Melina Mercouri. Among the rare recordings are Elmer Benrstein's rollicking theme from "God's Little Acre," the soundtrack title theme for "The Vikings" and the Main Title from Stanley Kramer's "On the Beach."
These classic movie theme LPs were in the personal collection of a film writer. They have been well preserved and come in their original cardboard sleeves with minimal cover wear and perfect edges. The vinyl records are also close to pristine, with no visible scratches or scuffs.
