AN OVERVIEW TO MY U2 COLLECTION
I have been a huge U2 fan since the very early days and this collection has been gathered together for all releases from 1979 to 2009 and has been well looked after since they were originally purchased. This extensive collection consists of 7” & 12” vinyl’s, coloured 7” vinyls, picture discs, CD singles, tapes, radio shows, fan club fanzines, the later ‘propaganda’ magazine and programmes, which will be listed in the coming months.
Being an avid collector, on purchase, the tracks were recorded to tape for listening purposes (instead of keep playing the records) and then carefully stored. Meaning in most cases, records if played, were only played once or twice. That was until the advent of mp3’s, when the records were played again in order to digitise them. So this collection in relation to their age, have seen little usage.
The records in this collection can be placed in two categories:
Records purchased new upon release from record shops as mint/new:
Obviously those I directly purchased from record shops, I can vouch for the number of times played.
Records purchased from a local dealer as mint/new:
I can only provide the number of times a record has been played in my ownership but when originally purchased from a local dealer, inspection was given before purchase.
This U2 collection has been accumulated over the last 30 years and unfortunately it is now time to break up the collection - if you want to fill in the gaps in your collection, save me in your saved sellers list as more auctions are planned for the coming months.
Many thanks for looking and good luck
