Description
U2 7" single "One Tree Hill". Original New Zealand ONLY edition with original picture sleeve and INSERT with lyrics.
"One Tree Hill" (Island K338 - 1988) Side One 'One Tree Hill' Side Two 'Bullet The Blue Sky' / 'Running To Stand Still'.
Vinyl condition is "as new" with no signs of play - not even spindle marks. Limited Edition heavy duty paper picture cover is in "as new" condition, with a small sticker stain left when the original new price tag was removed. It is barely noticeable, but worth mentioning.
The significance of this issue being exclusive to New Zealand should be well known to U2 fans - "One Tree Hill" is dedicated to the memory of Greg Carroll, whose funeral was held at Wanganui, NZ on 10th July 1986. In the US, the picture cover was used to house the "In God's Country" 7" release, but this picture sleeve was never used on an Australian release.
Classic Island records "tree" coloured labels on both sides of disc show a few ageing spots on Side A which do not affect play - vinyl itself is in "unplayed" condition. Check my other listings for rare and collectible U2 picture sleeve singles.

The 7" was apparently available in both Australia and NZ with different catalogue numbers. I was informed it was NZ only at the time of purchase but have been corrected.
