Description
MEGA-RARE 1985 Australian U2 misprint cover "Unforgettable Fire" 5 track mini-LP/12" Ep. Initially issued in Australia with title misspelt as 'Unforgetable'. This cover was withdrawn and the record came out in further pressings with the spelling mistake corrected. Quite a rare item and often goes unnoticed by dealers unfamiliar with just how unique of this item. Interestingly enough the misspelling is repeated in the track listing on the back cover as well but not on the vinyl labels. This reason for this is, as I understand it, because separate design groups are responsible for designing the outer Lp cover and the labels. The labels have a predesigned format and their layout is handled by an 'inhouse' label team whereas each artists outsources the design of their unique record covers.

Vinyl is in beautiful, shiny EX+ condition with signs of light play but unblemished. Cover is same, original stiffness with light creasing along spine and hint of ringwear - a very presentable copy of this Antipodean rarity !
