This auction is for a MEGA RARE original U2 ABBEY ROAD STUDIOS one sided 10"METAL ACETATE

You are bidding on a one-sided Promotional Pre-Production 10"Metal Acetate record of the U2 single "Even Better Than The Real Thing" (Perfecto Mix). This is a super heavy-weight 10"playback lacquer (known to collector's as an acetate) for the group's commercially released 7"/12"single issued back in 1992. The acetate is in excellent condition.....A truly mega rarity:

This is a super rare,possibly unique U2 item! Here is a great opportunity to get your hands on this incredible U2 one-sided 10"metal acetate featuring "Even Better Than The Real Thing" (Perfecto Mix) (6.37) pressed on the famed Abbey Road Studios label. As was the case with these metal acetate discs there would have been only a handful of copies made,probably less than five pressed,usually for group members,studio engineer and high level record company personnel only!!!

A VERY RARE ITEM AND QUITE POSSIBLY A ONCE IN A LIFETIME OPPORTUNITY TO ACQUIRE SUCH A FANTASTIC PIECE OF U2 HISTORY!! 

This superb and seriously rare 10"acetate has been part of my U2 collection for 15 years. It is excellent condition, having only been played a handful of times in the 15 years since I originally obtained it from a record company executive! As with all my other rare U2 items currently listed on eBay I have put a modest starting figure and no reserve!! 

As stated above the acetate is in excellent condition,just has a few very light wispy marks on the playing side and non-playing back side,it plays superbly at 45rpm with booming crystal clear sound.The Abbey Road label is in unmarked mint condition .The acetate comes housed in it's original glossy die-cut Abbey Road Studios generic 12"company cover which is in near excellent condition with some slight age yellowing and light creases near the corners.

Packing Procedures: All items are securely and well packed in top quality material to avoid any unnecessary damage during transit.When posted the records are removed from the covers and placed in a PVC outer protective sleeve to stop sleeve splits in the post. I use brand new top quality mailers, either the envelope style with super thick stiffeners to stop any sleeve bends in transit, or the “cruciform” style that wrap around the LP. I aim to dispatch within 48 hours of receiving payment . It is recommended that you choose the option for recorded delivery (within UK) or registered delivery (for Europe and Rest of the World) for higher value items . I cannot be held responsible for items lost or damaged that are not shipped by recorded / registered mail . I obtain a certificate of posting for every item sent .
