Description
This is a near mint condition, rare, promotional only U2 "New Year's Day" 45. It was issued by Island Records and manufactured by WEA Music Of Canada in 1983. Promotional Only singles were sent to radio stations for airplay and were not made available to the general public. The single has "New Year's Day" on the a-side and "Treasure (Whatever Happened To Pete The Chop)" on the b-side. The labels are a white promotional Island with "Promo Copy Only Not For Sale" printed on them. There are no stickers or writing on the labels. The single comes in a WEA Music Of Canada paper sleeve. It has had one owner, a former record company executive who has kept it filed away since 1983.
