Description

U-2 / Out Of Control Early Irish 12’ Single Debut Record Excellent.




An original early pressing of U2’s classic debut single, pressed by CBS in Ireland to whom they were signed initially.


This is NOT however one of the first 1,000 numbered copies.


This is a slightly later repress which is identified by the following.



Still called “ U-2 “


Ireland now misspelled on the label.


Redundant “Made In England” claim at the end of the rimtext.


Group’s names etched in the deadwax on Side Two only.


Came in a black generic bag and not in a CBS sleeve.



Sonically however, it is exactly the same as the 1st pressing and the three tracks are the original versions (the 2019 repressing used a slightly different version of Boy/Girl ).


Playback has been tested and it is virtually flawless. No skips, jumps, sticks or other blemishes. Big, porwerful, analogue sound. Labels are clean and in perfect condition.


This is a fine example of their first unique single.
