U2 THE JOSHUA TREE 1987 Island 1st Press DMM MASTERDISK SRC 90581-1 EX/EX
The Joshua Tree is U2's fifth studio album, the record that took them from arena act to global stadium band. "With or Without You," "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For," and "Where the Streets Have No Name" all came off this release, backed by a full side two that leans into the band's more atmospheric, politically charged songwriting.
This is an original US pressing on Island Records, 90581-1.
Mastered at Masterdisk using Direct Metal Mastering — the runouts are cut directly to a copper master rather than a conventional lacquer, a process Island used broadly for this release.
Pressed at Specialty Records Corporation. The "E A S T" embossing around the Side B spindle hole confirms the plant.
Produced by Daniel Lanois and Brian Eno, with several tracks mixed by Steve Lillywhite.
