Description
For auction today: Australian copy of this album, with the original paper bag that the shop used to put the album in, at the counter at point-of-sale, in 1987. The bag has U2 - Joshua Tree text and album photo on front and photos of other U2 albums on the rear...as shown in photos. Island had these bags made and printed this way, specifically for the purpose of point-of-sale promotion. Same Cat # on bag and album cover. Bag is VG+ only, due to a tear and a piece of old tape on the rear only, and creasing from handling/storage.
This is the 2nd of 2 copies I bought about 1 year ago. I sold the 1st copy for about $100. You can check on Popsike and see they are not the same copies. Record and cover in top condition. Insert has a slight blemish in the corner as you can see. This will prob be the only opportunity to buy one of these. I have no more and I assume all the other bags are in the landfill or recycled into toilet paper by now.
Any spots or blotches you may see in the photos are from a fault in the lens of my camera and are not on the item in reality. .
