Rare Signed Irish Pressing of U2 - Three EP
Here for auction is my own copy of U2's first 7" EP, an Irish pressing on CBS records. I took the cover with me to the band's Zoo TV tour gig at Wembley in 1993 and waited after the show and managed to get Bono and The Edge to sign it for me - Bono has signed it twice as he was rather the worse for wear at the time! It went with me to another show in Dublin and I also managed to get Larry to sign it outside the hotel they owned in Temple Bar, The Clarence. Unfortunately, I was never able to get Adam to sign it too to complete it - but maybe that could be the challenge for its new owner?
The vinyl itself is in near mint condition, unplayed as far as I can tell, with no scratches or wear. The sleeve does have a small surface graze at the top right where a price ticket has been.
Obviously, being a privately obtained set of signatures, I cannot provide a Certificate of Authenticity for it, I will happily stake my entire feedback reputation on it being genuine as it was I who got it signed!
