U2 / The Unforgettable Fire – Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab Records MFSL 1-207 (US) ...This auction is for a sealed and low numbered (No. 0241) High Quality Audiophile Record (Anadisc 200 pressing) that was pressed for a short time and now out of print.
Working with producers Brian Eno and Daniel Lanois, U2 created a dark, near-hallucinatory series of interlocking soundscapes that are punctuated by recognizable songs and melodies. In such a setting, the band flourishes, creating some of their greatest music. The shimmering textures of the title track, the charging "A Sort of Homecoming," and the surging Martin Luther King, Jr. tribute "Pride (In the Name of Love)" are both remarkable, ranking them among U2's very best music recorded to date.
