Description

U2 - Rare, original early pressing of the 'Under A Blood Red Sky' Mini LP Gold Stamped PROMO Mini LP that contains the UNEDITED version of "The Electric Co."
This original pressing contains the FULL, UNEDITED VERSION of "The Electric Co." which runs approximately 5:23 (LP reflects 5:18).   Be aware that many copies of this Mini-LP reflect the UNEDITED track length, but still contains the edited track.
Mid-song during this version of "The Electric Co.", Bono sings snippets from two different Stephen Sondheim songs - "America" (from "West Side Story") and "Send in the Clowns" (from "A Little Night Music").  Since U2 did not initially obtain the necessary permission to use those pieces, legal action was taken against the band.  While U2 ended up paying for the use of those snippets, ALL future pressings would require that those snippets be edited out of the recording which they were (and rather harshly I might add).  This pressing contains the full, beautiful version of the song the way that it was intended to be released and is a must-have for any serious U2 collector!

Record Jacket Condition: VG Minor wrinkles with some ring wear visible on front cover / some markings and wear is also visible on the back cover.  But overall, the cover is still in pretty decent condition.
Vinyl Condition: EX- Vinyl is in excellent condition with clean labels.
