UBBER RARE 1968 THE ETHIOPIANS ENGINE 54 DOCTOR BIRD WIRL SLEEVE EXCELLENT

This very rare and original, sought after and highly collectable record is regarded by many as the holy grail for collectors of this genre. This 1968 UK release from the Doctor Bird label features The Ethiopians performing on this timeless classic Go Rock Steady/Engine 54. Catalogue number DLM 5011.The vinyl is in excellent condition. The record shows some signs of having been played and enjoyed, but there is very little lessening  in sound quality, despite some noticable surface marks the record plays through without any skips or blips. The labels are bright and clean and free from writing. The sleeve printed in Jamaica and distributed by West Indies Records Ltd.(WIRL1053)  is in good condition with some light creasing, the spine has perished at the point where the record comes into contact with cover with a split of 5cm in length, and there are two small areas were the surface of the cover has come away probably caused by the attempt to remove stickers. On the reverse of the sleeve there is some writing at the top with some writing on a small sticker which I dont want to remove and remnants of some old selotape which has been holding down a small abrasion. There is slight discolouration to the back of the cover indicative of its age. Please see enlarged images for a good and true understanding of overall condition. The LP is kept in a plastic outer cover.
