UFO : The Wild, The Willing And The Innocent A1/B2 1st Press

For this auction I am selling a number of progressive/heavy rock records that have been so well preserved down the years and many of them hardly played.  I am moving house soon so want to 'shift' a lot of my stock quickly so unfortunately do not have the time to describe each track in detail as I generally do.  However, I will still play every track in full so as to provide a 'complete' grading.

This first pressing is another UFO album that I am selling that plays with great quality throughout and barely any intrusion.  There are no clicks or pops, barely any static, and the clarity could hardly be any better.  The cover is in superb condition with barely any wear and the inner sleeve has also been very well preserved.

Visual grading

The vinyl is in lovely condition and still has an immaculate glossy sheen with no marks or scratches and only a small number of very faint hairlines that are certainly not easy to find!  This is another UFO record that has hardly been played and indeed there is barely any spindle wear.  A stunning example.

Play Grading

The intro on 'Chains Chains' is near perfect with only a couple of light static ticks and then plays with great quality and just two more light ticks in the brief quieter passage.  The remaining tracks play with outstanding audio and no interference.  The quieter sections play with great clarity, there is barely any static and only a small number of barely audible dust ticks.  The playback is so strong and the depth of the audio is also very impressive.  It could hardly play any better!  The title track 'The Wild, The Willing And The Innocent' is superb!

'Makin' Moves' plays with real quality from the get go, barely any static, and then plays with great power and depth...and no interference.  'Lonely Heart' has a small number of light static ticks on the intro and then plays with flawless audio for the remainder.  'Couldn't Get It Right' and 'Profession Of Violence' end the album with imperious quality once more and no sign of any interference.  The quieter sections on the latter are very impressive indeed with only a couple of very light ticks.

The Cover & Inner Sleeve

The glossy cover is in lovely condition with barely any shelf wear.  The edges have only very minimal rubbing and the spine is perfect.  The corners are very clean with no obvious wear and the opening edge has no handling wear either.  The front and back cover are unmarked apart from a couple of very minor scratch lines.  The plain white inner has only the bare minimum of light creasing.

This record has been professionally cleaned on a Pro-Ject VC-S machine
