Description

This auction is for a MFSL UHQR Half Speed LP pressing of Solti's HOLST THE PLANETS. This record is one of the very first Half Speeds Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs produced in 1982.  Only 5000 were printed in this Limited Edition set. This LP is from my private collection and I purchased it new in 1982.  It has been played maybe a half dozen times in the last 30+ years and only on the best quality table, arm and cartridge.   It looks great so I would rate the record a VG to VG+.  The box is is in good condition with a few scuffs but no breaks in the corners.  The items inside of the box are in pristine condition and includes the signed Certificate of Authenticity and pressing number.    "Super Heavy Vinyl" 200 gram virgin vinyl pressing by Victor Company in Japan.

Just a quick word on my grading for this album: At this time I do not have an operable turntable to play the record for grading purposes so I am grading by visual inspection alone. The record surface is very, very clean so the VG+ is a conservative rating and in reality you may find it to be more like a VG++ or Near Mint, but since I can't listen for surface noise prior to selling, my rating is VG+. I hope this helps!
