We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Vastly UNDER-ESTIMATED 1968 The ALAN BOWN SET #1 is a cool catchy/memorable album filled with hip Mod toy-town popike, up there with the best of the British Carnaby Street paisley-pop groovers, yeah, catchy tunes that explode with the charm of the swinging London sixties sound...

The track "Penny For Your Thoughts" is worth the price alone ~ an exploding fuzz psych nugget of everlasting charm...

The scarce USA of the British titled ‘Outward Bown’ on the obscure "Music Factory" label includes the infectious slices of quality pop-psych "Toyland", along with their version of ‘All Along The Watchtower’, which impressed Hendrix sufficiently enough for Jimi to record it and release it, plus other goodies such as the (1st Lp era) Bee Gees-influenced ‘Sally Green’. The album failed to happen, and singer Jess Roden left to pursue a solo career, with the band taking on a more progressive sound.

This albums stands up against any album of its time and it should be one of those sought after classics that everyone raves about. Toytown, Magic Handkerchief, Technicolur Dream, Sally Green and All Along The Watchtower are absolute classics. The rest of the album is not far behind either. Name your poison: Peter Frampton and the Herd, Status Quo and "Matchstick Men," Traffic and its debut album. It's great popsike, of course -- as great as any of those and many more.

The blissed out mini-classics are as delightful as only British psych can be, a collection of semi-detached suburban Ray Davies observations full of vaguely Edwardian lifestyle concerns, peopled by pretty girls who wash the dishes, toys that talk, and love that flies from the rooftops with the clouds. Signs of the band's (and band members') brilliance are all over the place. "Penny for Your Thoughts" is garage land Small Faces, underpinned by freak guitar and the brilliant reeds of Bown and future Supertramp mainstay John Anthony Helliwell, while a version of Dylan's "All Along the Watchtower" opposites Hendrix' arrangement in a Sgt. Pepper's-ish style.

If you like late sixties UK psychadelic pop then put a bid down ... A criminally neglected album from a classic era of swinging London ...
