Description
Stunning? Brilliant? No further praise cliches needed from me for this classic--and hard-to-find --disc, here offered in like new, essentially perfect condition. Constantin Silvestri conducts the Philharmonia Orchestra in Stravinsky's "Symphony in Three Movements" and "Song of the Nightingale." This English pressing's on the 1st issue White Gold stereo label, ASD 401, from EMI/HMV's golden age.
This was carefully and thoroughly auditioned with a Goldring 1042 cartridge, and Sennheiser 600 headphones/Epos ES-25 speakers.
I hesitate to use superlatives, but here they're deserved--this record's in astonishing condition, a true velvety NM. The thick, shiny disc looks perfect--and sounds like it, with silent surfaces and brilliant sound. You won't find a better copy anywhere.
The flipback jacket is clean, bright & intact with slight wear, thus call it a VG+ or better.
I've added a Nagaoka inner sleeve to the original, and slipped the jacket into a new Japanese mylar resealable outer sleeve.
