Description

Ataulfo Argenta conducts L'Orchestre de la Suisse Romande in the Tchaikovsky Symphony Nr 4. This is a wideband, grooved, "Original Recording by", 2D/2E, ED1 pressing, dated "58/9". Something of an audiophile legend, the early stereo sound is excellent and powerful.

This was auditioned with a Goldring 1042 cartridge, and Sennheiser 600 headphones/Epos ES-25 speakers. The shiny record surfaces look good with only a few small light scuffs, but there are some light tics, mostly at the beginnings of each side. Otherwise, it plays splendidly, like a NM, thus perhaps an overall NM-/VG+.

The blueback, scalloped, flipback sleeve is bright & intact with no splits and a couple of minor corner bends, thus it's a VG+.

I've added a new Nagaoka inner sleeve to the original, and slipped the jacket into a new Japanese mylar resealable outer sleeve.
