Description

Superb copy of the UK stereo ffss Decca LP SXL 2229, Mendelssohn 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' incidental music and Schubert 'Rosamunde' incidental music. Ernest Ansermet conducting L'Orchestre de la Suisse Romande.

 

Wideband, grooved label, ED1 ('Original Recording....' on label rim), 2W/2W matrix suffixes.

 

Front-laminated sleeve has a small 'nick' on the spine edge towards the top, a couple of minor corner creases, one thumb opening edge crease, light ringwear and some light age browning around the edges, more visible on the back; all minor points on a sleeve with superb structure and colour, nice clean and glossy laminate. Sleeve certainly grades EX!

 

Vinyl is in super shape, a couple of the very lightest hairlines not affecting superb audio on this classic Decca pressing! A lovely copy that grades EX+.
