Description
This LP is OIVIN FJELDSTAD conducting the LONDON SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA, performing GRIEG: PEER GYNT.
Made in England and issued on Decca SXL 2012 in 1958. Label has ORIG. RECORDING, GROOVE, WIDE BAND, FFSS and cover has blue border on back all showing this to be one of the earliest issues. Stampers 2E/2E.
Record is in excellent condition, has some light scuff marks but nothing serious and plays through very strong with only light occasional background noise. As with all used vinyl we recommend a proffesional clean to give the best playback possible.
Original Decca FFSS inner sleeve is in excellent condition.
Sleeve is in excellent condition, has one 1/2" clean tear on back opening edge, light handling wear.
Labels are clean with light spindle marks.
Overall not a mint copy, but an excellent example of a highly sought after piece in the Decca catalogue.
