Description

MY FEEDBACK WILL REASSURE YOU THAT I AM AN HONEST AND TRUSTWORTHY SELLER!!

UK SELLER: ITEM IN UK:

UK LP  BEATLES:  "PLEASE PLEASE ME"

UK PARLOPHONE PCS 3042

MATRIX NOS: YEX 94-1 / YEX 95-1 (ie a UK first edition!)

This album was released in 1963. The (-1) suffix to the matrix number reveals that this disc was pressed from the very first matrix cut from the stereo master tape when it was still brand new, in 1963!.

Cut at EMI's famous Abbey Road Studios in St John's Wood London.

CONDITION:

Both disc and sleeve are Near Immaculate!

DISC:  Only the slightest evidence that the diusc has been played and handled a few times There are no scuffs, hairlines, fingerprints or damage of any kind, just a slight reduction in the disc's reflectivity and rainbow colours overall.

Looking at the disc in strong halogen light., I can see no spindle marks on either label

THE DISC LOOK NEARLY UNPLAYED

Remarkable for a 44 year old album!!

SLEEVE:  Again, superb. Bright sheen to the front gloss cover, only the slightest signs of handling or deterioration of any kind, to the front cover. Slight discolouration to rear cover but only compared to a sheet of white paper!

Good strong spine with maybe one very slight weak point.
Laminate absolutely MINT
Open edges excellent with NO imperfections
Edges perfect.

NEARLY NEW!!

TRACKS:

1. Taste Of Honey
2. I Saw Her Standing There
3. Misery
4. Anna (Go To Him)
5. Chains
6. Boys
7. Ask Me Why
8. Please Please Me
9. Love Me Do
10. I Love You
11. Baby It's You
12. Do You Want To Know A Secret
13. There's A Place
14. Twist And Shout

SERIOUSLY:   This record looks as if it was made last week. I seriously doubt if you will ever see a copy in anything like this condition elsewhere!!  If you collect Beatles vinyls Don't Let This Get Away!

I aim to describe my auction goods accurately (see my feedback) as there is no point in not being completely straight about condition. Otherwise you, the buyer, will be disappointed and return the goods and I'll end up with negative feedback! No: I try to describe the goods as they are so that you know what to expect!

I always send items out through the normal UK post, usually within 2 days of receiving payment. I have a day job other than ebay and can only get to the post office at certain times.

Items to non-UK destinations will always be sent marked as "small packet". Within the UK, as standard parcel post.  If you require postal insurance or special delivery conditions please say so in your initial contact after the end of the auction.

I have been a music collector and enthusiast since the age of 12: That's virtually 40 years!

I offer a range of vinyl records from the past decades as well as a few CDs, usually from my own collection, when I have the occasional clear-out to create space for new additions!

I try to offer only discs of the highest physical quality on ebay as when we're buying record "unseen" it is often difficult to judge the condition of the disc from the seller's (often vague) description. In addition of course we have no real knowledge of the seller's background, experience or standards.

Let me state here that I grade my discs for sale according to the condition guidelines used in the Record Collector Magazine. This gives the buyer a reliable outside reference and a useful guide should the disc turn out to differ in any way from my description.

If this happens I will ALWAYS offer to refund the buyer's payment, including return postage as soon as I receive the record back in  the condition in which it was sent out. If you're not happy, I'm not happy!

I cannot refund a transaction simply because the buyer is not happy with some aspect of the disc which was mentioned in my description but not noticed by the buyer.

I never sell any disc in less than EXCELLENT condition unless its extreme rarity justifies offering a poorer quality copy, in which case I will make it abundantly clear in my description and you will be in no doubt as to what you are bidding on!

Generally my descriptions are deliberately conservative, listing very small imperfections to the sleeve or the very slightest corner-wear which you probably wouldn't notice.  I try my hardest to include all relevant information a potential buyer would want to know. I will always include the nationality of the pressing, where the matrix was cut (if possible), the matrix number and cutting engineer's suffix (you may not care but it's the kind of detail I would want to know about!)

You can expect to receive a disc in a better condition than my description suggests and you can assume that any record I offer for sale, unless I specifically explain otherwise, will be at least EXCELLENT PLUS.

My standards are very high. I have an enormous vinyl record collection which I play on what I consider to be the pinnacle of record player technology,  The TOWNSHEND ROCK V turntable (see   http://townshendaudio.net/  ) with Audio Note IO cartridge, Audio Note cartridge transformers, Audio Note amplification and Townshend Glastonbury 2 loudspeakers.

I will always include a colour scan of the important part of the sleeve, with close-ups of any relevant details (creases, corner wear, edge wear whenever necessary)
I will always include a high resolution scan of the disc's label.

I use Photoshop software to crop and carefully colour-match the scans to the real thing. This is purely to ensure that what you see is what you will get. I don't know how your computer screen is calibrated but I simply try to remove, as far as possible, the need for guess-work on your part!.    (If you are interested, I embed the colour profile Adobe RGB 1998 into all images.)

Do not hesitate to email me if I have left anything out of my items' descriptions. I  am happy to answer if I can any questions you may have and I am fairly knowledgeable about all aspects of gramophone records, old and new, so I will probably know what you are enquiring about!

All discs are posted in sturdy professional disc-mailing cardboard  envelopes. I always insert two squares of corrugated cardboard around the disc arranged  so that the corrugations of each board are at right angle to each other for added stiffness. I guarantee that any disc I most out will not arrive bent, warped or damaged.

I always remove the disc from the sleeve and pack the disc into a polythene outer cover.

Please note that unlike some ebay users I do NOT expect my buyers to pay my PAYPAL or EBAY charges. Not only is this against the spirit of the eBay "community" it is also forbidden by eBay's rules!

No-Quibble Guarantee: If you are not happy with any item for any reason, please return it in the condition in which you received it for a full refund, including your return postage costs

All items are CAREFULLY packed with extra stiffening or protective materials added.
