Description

Two one-sided white label test pressings for UK Mercury AMS 16126, made by EMI.    Plain white labels simply labeled "Stereo" with handwritten notation of the matrix and stamper numbers on the EMI inner sleeves.  Stampers are EFR-1, EFR-2, mastered by EMI.  Jacket for the UK issue is included.  Issued in the US as SR 90287.

Wagner, orchestral excerpts from Die Meistersinger, Tannhauser, Parsifal, and Lohengrin.  Antal Dorati conducts the London Symphony Orchestra.  See pics for program details.

Discs are both visually NM, a few scattered light tics, typical of test pressings, may clean up.  Great sound.  Jacket VG, tape on top and bottom seams, otherwise OK.
