Description

RCA Living Stereo SB 2148, first dark red label disc with silver spot, pressed in England by Decca.  Early laminated flipback jacket, made in England.  Stampers are 1D 1D. Original recording by RCA, issued in the US as LSC 2555

Leopold Stokowski leads The Symphony of the Air (the former NBC Symphony) and chorus, in a program of excerpts from Wagner operas entitled "The Sound of Stokowski and Wagner".  Music from Tannhäuser, Tristan and Isolde, Die Walküre and Das Rheingold.  See pics for program details.
