Description

RCA Living Stereo SER 5507/8, two disc boxed set, first red label discs with silver spot, pressed in England by Decca.  Stampers are 6G 2G 2G 1G.  Recorded in Vienna by Decca, produced by the legendary John Culshaw, issued in the US in the deluxe Soria Series as LDS 7022.  Listed in The Absolute Sound Super Disc List.

Puccini, Tosca, complete opera, with Leontyne Price, Giuseppe Di Stefano and Giuseppe Taddei.  Herbert von Karajan conducts the Vienna Philharmonic and the chorus of the Vienna State Opera.  Stunning performance and sound, one of the great opera recordings.
