Description

RCA Victrola Stereo VICS 1108, first grooved maroon label disc, pressed in England by Decca.  Stampers are 2W 2W.  Laminated jacket.  Recorded in England by Decca, issued in the US as LSC 2449.  Not issued by Decca in the SB Living Stereo series.  This is the first UK issue.

Bizet, Carmen Suite, Gounod, Faust Ballet Music and Funeral March of a Marionette.  Alexander Gibson conducts the Royal Opera House Orchestra, Covent Garden.  See pics for program details.

One of, if not the best sounding of all the Living Stereo issues.  This issue is the only complete Decca mastering of this fantastic recording.  Not to be missed, simply stunning sound.
