Stamped matrix numbers
This is the original 1966 UK MONO 1st, unboxed, purple shadow cover pressing. The album title was was printed in a distinctive shadow effect on the title lettering. The purple shadow design was not liked by the band and was quickly withdrawn and replaced with the familiar version. But a few hundred shadows cover survived, making this album very very rare and highly sought after by Stones collectors!
The record is graded as EX. Heavy and shiny vinyl with only a few surface scratches. NOT the typical scratched copy ! The record is 100% flat and plays without skips or sticks. Heavy and shiny vinyl. Beautiful vinyl !
The thin 1st press cover is in EX- condition - please see pictures. NO tears. Spine is fully intact. Light corner wear. Two small names on back and signs of aging. VG+. A very rare 1st press mispress cover.
Both label are free from any unwanted hand writings or stickers. EX.
