Description
UK SUBS - Killing Time (a signed copy) 12” Vinyl LP
published by Fall Out Records (Accord, musidisc) Import. Recorded at Sonic Edge Studio, New York City, July 1988 tracks include Motivator and Nico
Excellent Condition, LP has been in storage for past 30+ years Printed inner sleeve with lyrics and band's autographs
Excellent condition throughout – no skips. no repetitive pops, no spine damage, no creases, minor cosmetic wear (see close ups for detail) LP was tested/re-recorded - 24bit sample on request. Note the mis-glued inner label does not interfere nor compromise LP playback.
Origin of autograph / anecdote: I worked at gig for the Subs on their tour through Germany in Chemnitz. This was shortly after the city had been renamed (as part of 'westernization' the move of post-wall-and-iron-curtain-crumbling to resurface the east of Germany), hence the funny references on the sleeve to Karl-(Marx-Stadt). I received this LP directly from Charlie Harper signed by the whole band (original re-union line-up) while partying after show. Interestingly this is not a UK copy, but an import. This LP was possibly taken from a seperately run merchandise stall. Who knows? It was not played much and has been in storage for past 30 years.
Apart from the Motivator track (also on EP in my sales) the humble song Nico that closes the album with simple instrumentation (guitar, voice, piano and some flute) impresses and still is a great number !
