BLACKTHORN, Same (WHM 1921, UK 1977)
A still, relatively unknown, beautiful contemporary UK folk album from this 3 guys / 1 girl collective. They are playing a mix of mainly trad material mixed with several covers from UK / US artists....For example a beautiful cover version of NEIL YOUNG´s "After The Goldrush" or LEONARD COHEN´s "That´s No Way To Say Goodbye"..... Mostly female / some male vocals backed with various guitars, mandolin, electric bass, fiddle, flutes..... With a guest appearance from IAN CAMPBELL on bodhran......
Matrix number: BLACKTHORNE A2 (side A) / BLACKTHORNE B2 (side B)
The record is in top excellent plus (ex+) condition
The cover is also in top excellent (ex) condition - showing tiny signs of age like tiny wear on corners and top seam or a "shadow" of beginning of ringwear (very light)......
