THE SORROWS - Old Songs New Songs (Miura MIU LP 10011), Italy 1968
3 years after their 1st (also excellent) beat LP this band from Coventry / UK moved to Italy and recorded this great album, that was also only released in this country. Musically this was a different story as their 1st album - here they played an excellent "swinging London" inspired psych rock with great guitar attacks from Chuck Fryers, some roaring organ....Half of the tracks are original compositions / half are fantastic cover versions from Traffic, Small Faces and Family. Todays nearly vanished from the collectors market and impossible to find in any condition..........
The laminated cover is in top excellent to excellent plus (ex/ex+) condition, shows only very tiny wear on a few parts of the seams, discreet "yellowing" on the white borders of the back cover.
The record is in very good to very good plus (vg/vg+) condition, shows some paper scuffs / hairlines and "surface abrasions" - NO deep marks or scratches. Plays with several surface cracklings - mostly hearable between the tracks - sometimes on the more quiet parts (there are not so many). Only on some parts a few clicks, especially on side 2 on one / two parts. Would say - side 1 plays so vg+ and sometimes better / side 2 between vg and mostly vg+. All the LP has a great clear and dynamic sound !!!! - Has made a sensible grading on this rare LP (unfortunately the seller from which I bought this album had not the sensibility....)

Also you are bidding on vinyl records - and NOT CDs - that means, that also new records made some surface cracklings here and there and some of the old (especially privat pressings) are NOT hifi demonstration records !!!
