SAM GOPAL - Escalator ( Stable SLE 8001 ), EU 198?
This was the 1st RE from the late 80ies of this legendary UK underground psychedelic album - created from the Malaysian born percussion player Sam Gopal, initial the group was named Sam Gopal Dream. They played in the beginning (so 1967) on nearly all wellknown UK underground clubs like the "Covent Garden" (later "Middle Earth"), the "UFO" club, they performed also in April 1967 on the legendary "14 Hour Technicolour Dream" event....After some line-up changes they shortened their name to Sam Gopal and recorded this legendary album (a collector piece since decades) in late 1968 - and it was released originally in March 1969 on the collectable "Stable" label - with Ian Willis aka Lemmy on vocals and guitar (who later become fame with Hawkwind and Motorhead)......
The cover is in excellent (ex) condition, the mini tears seeing on front and back cover are mostly from the pressing, ´cause they had no perfect cover for this RE (yes, was another time before 25 years !!!)
The record is also in top excellent (ex) condition, has some harmless paper scuffs and hairlinesWithout exception, I´ll send only via REGISTERED mail !!
