ULTRA-RARE RECORD BY A GREAT VIRTUOSO,
also an important conductor in France. Pierre SECHIARI (1877-1933 ?), first violin prize - unanimously - in 1896, was a pupil of MAURIN and BERTHELIER and later, as them, 1st violin of the Concerts du Conservatoire (later of Concerts Lamoureux). He will found himself several orchestras ans musical societies ("Les Concerts Sechiari", where THIBAUD for exemple was invited), but continue to play as soloist, with intense activity in the 1900-1920's. He was a friend of Ravel, and has played chamber with Louis FOURNIER, Louis DIEMER, Maurice VIEUX, Marcel HOUDRET, Adolphe HENNEBAINS among others.

RECORD CONDITION : visual grading only / VG- (still glossy despite a moderate fading, few cosmetic scuffs ; Lalo side shows several very tiny dust accidents supposed to sound only soft single clicks, or nothing ; Massenet side shows a better condition, with 1 tiny soft bubble. The labels shows tiny light rust spots, few tiny scratches).
