Description
Extremely nice original copy of "A Thousand Tears Too Late," backed with "The Crawl" on Cincinnati, Ohio's own short-lived Split Records #1028A), released in 1971.
VERY GOOD+++ CONDITION RECORD in somewhat yellowed original, plain white paper sleeve. PROMO COPY with NO surface scratches at all, very glossy, quite possibly unplayed. Bright white label looks almost new.
This one is truly a rarity and probably spent the last 36 years in a cellar or warehouse. Sought after by fans and collectors of homegrown funk and Northern Soul, this 45 by Double O (aka James Bowens). "The Crawl" is considered by some aficianados "undoubtably his finest funk moment," while "A Thousand Tears Too Late" lent its name to a recent retrospective museum exhibition on the Cincinnati funk and soul scene of the late 1960s and early 1970s (see my other auctions for more Split Records rarities!).
DO YOURSELF A FAVOR; LOOK THIS ONE UP ON POPSIKE.COM, then BID! You definitely on't see another copy like this for a long, long time ...Good luck and please check out my other auctions for the stash of Northern Soul I recently uncovered here in the Cincinnati area. Thanks!
