Description

This is an original copy of an EP from 1966 on UK Parlophone (yellow parlophone) label (CGEP 62) with Icelandic Beat group Thor´s Hammer. This is a gate-fold EP, with an extra single included (DP 567). There are therefore six tracks included, alltogether. The tracks on the EP are; Better Days, My Life, I Don´t Care and Country Dance. The tracks on the single are; If You Knew and Love Enough. This group was very popular in the home market in the sixties, known there as Hljómar. They made two LPs and 2-3 singles/EPs in Icleand, mainly with self-composed material, sung in Icelandic. In 1966 they made an attempt for the UK market with, this EP, plus two singles, but without any success. Here, the material is also self-coposed, with English lyrics. These records have been very hard to track down in recent years, not the least in decent condition. Both records are in mint condition, they don´t appear to have been played at all. They come from the last remains of an old stock in a record shop in Reykjavík. The cover is not as nice as the records; it has a storage wear and a little ring-wear, especially on the back. There ar no tear or crease, however, nor split seams. This EP was listed recently in Record Collector magazine, as one of the 250 most valuable records today.
