We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. 1972 MINTY CLEAN original "UNCENSORED" = the fully naked female cover was quickly censored with a sticker over the exposed female body parts, this copy was a first printing that escaped the censoring sticker...

Hands down the *best* Garcia album, with members of the DEAD, many of the songs are classics an were incorporated into DEAD concerts....

Perhaps what is most interesting about Garcia’s self-titled solo debut is how seamlessly he mixed his more adventurous, avant-garde fare with material that fit so well within the Grateful Dead’s canon. Easing fans into the maelstrom, the first side of the effort featured a quartet of tunes — the rollicking Deal, the sweetly sonorous elegy Bird Song, the lilting swing of Sugaree, and the melancholy-drenched Loser — that were already familiar to fans. While there indisputably is a clean, studio polish to the tracks, they also vigorously sprang to life — a notion that is even more true in their newly refurbished state. Indeed, whether it’s Garcia’s sweeping pedal steel, his biting electric slide, his bubbly bass, his tenderly picked acoustic, or his swirling organ accents — he played all of the instruments himself, save for the symphonic drum accompaniments provided by Bill Kreutzmann — each song was carefully fashioned into a brilliantly sparkling poprock/folk/psych/Dead gem.

As for the latter half of Garcia, it featured two additional collaborative compositions with Robert Hunter — the gently intimate To Lay Me Down and the orbital gracefulness of The Wheel — fused within a strange kaleidoscope of chaotic mayhem. Not unlike The Beatles’ sound collage Revolution 9 or George Martin’s strangely psychedelic classical contributions to its Yellow Submarine soundtrack, Garcia’s own ornate musings surged with ideas that darted manically, building a tension that eluded to the Grateful Dead’s space segments 20 years hence.
Six tracks eventually became standards in the Grateful Dead concert repertoire.
