Description

This is my copy of "OLD HAT" by UNCLE DOG. released in the UK on SIGNPOST RECORDS - SG 4253 - in 1972 (through EMI). Like many of the records I have sold over the years this was a UK radio record library copy that was filed under 'forget' when it arrived, because it did not fit in with the middle of the road music policy. There is one spindle mark on the label which indicates a quick spin by the librarian and an even quicker "No!". The vinyl is new and shiny and I believe basically unplayed - I have certainly never played it. On one side there is the lightest of withdrawl marks, so the librarian was not only deaf but clumsy! Like all library records there may be dust from the inner bag, but this genuinely looks like a top, top copy. As I have seen one dealer start to use recently on ebay...."MINTY"........ PLEASE! Where has the style in selling gone?! Now for all you fans of original stampers etc. - there was only ever one pressing of this LP - so that's you lot satisfied! The sleeve again is in great shape. There is no ring-wear on the non-laminated sleeve, but there are light signs of being in a library for years and being occasionaly moved around! The spine has a crease through the name of the band and title of the LP with slight colour loss, which is a shame as the rest of the spine is firm and suffers no colour loss. There is a crease at the bottom r/h corner, only about a couple on inches, but luckily the design of the artwork hides the imperfection. Please remember that any marks and creases visible in the picture are part of the sleeve design, being creases in the opriginal print used on the cover! The rear of the sleeve which is very dark is again a testement to great condition with only a mere hint of ring-wear in the black print! There is light scuffing to the top and bottom edges, but again, nothing at all unpleasent and basically I would say this non-laminated sleeve is a real winner!  GREAT COPY OF RARITY! - PLEASE NOTE - I pack my records very well to arrive in the condition they left me! This adds to the weight and then the cost! Also I should be a 100% ebayer but some lying **** in South Wales won my "Greetings From Hitsville" US pressed 7" Promo, refused to pay recorded delivery and then when it was not delivered accused me of not sending it!  SO ......Recorded Delivery at least from now on, on RARE ITEMS - Sorry!
