Description
The Underdogs (Pig, Mann & Edwards): "Wasting Our Time" 1970, New Zealand/Pye ARBS 109. Disc has some light scuffs and hairlines, plays M- except for a few light clicks during the silly country rock track "Clover In The Air" so it gets a VG+ grade to be strict. Cover has some minor creases on the top seam near the pocket, lamination is dulled, this is a strong VG+ cover. Incredibly rare second LP by the (former) blues band from Downunda moves brazenly into Hendrix guitar zones and is a clear hint at what axeman Harvey Mann would record about a year later with Space Farm. A really engaging album; the best tracks represent a spectacular crossover between blues and hard rock that compare favourably with bands like Human Instinct (circa "Stoned Guitar") or Out Of Darkness (especially their "Celebration Club Sessions" release). A very hard record to get, this is only the second I've ever had and it's in better shape.
