Description
For sale is a raw punk 45 cover of Lou Reed's "I Can't Stand It". On the private press Easy Action label, this record makes no mention of the band which recorded it, only to the "arrangers" David Schure, Ashley Ren and Frank Boesch, who are probably the members of the band, and the producer, Ashley Ren and David Schure. It gives a date (1980), a reference to a company, possibly the publisher, (S.S. Ent.), and the rest is a mystery. This 45 is entirely undocumented as far as I can tell... no reference to be found anywhere. Definitely one of the rarer NY punk 45s, and possibly unique. Great raw work here, with perfectly sloppy, amateur production values. The same song is on both sides, stereo on one side and mono on the other. Please see my other auctions for an undocumented Washington DC psych acetate up this week.
