Description
This is a very unique item...................
A Humberside Recording Studios demo disc recorded by the Riot Rockers in 1974, their first studio experience.
I can personally vouch that this is the genuine item, lost for years and has now turned up inside the sleeve of a totally unrelated 12" LP. It was recorded sometime in 1974 at the Humberside studios in Laceby near Grimsby by Les Allen the studio owner. He some three years later recorded the band again in a much improved studio which resulted in the later 4 track EP that was released containing Beetle Bug Bop, Please Mr. Mayor etc.
This demo disc has 4 tracks all in MONO Personnel on the recording are, Ray Firth, Lead Guitar, Paul Whittingham Drums, John Scargall Bass and Johnny Fox Lead Vocals and Tenor Sax.
Side 1. Runaround Sue Don't You Rock Me Daddyo
Side 2. Jungle Rock Cast Iron Arm.
Label No. HRS/ 007
The studio recording on this disc is not particularly good and so was not considered for release as the sound was not to the band's liking.
Consequently, this disc is the only mechanical recording from that session as it was never pressed in quantity beyond this one-off demo recording and released so it remains a unique one-off item that cannot be repeated.
Clearly this is for committed Riot Rockers fans who can own something no one else has got or will own once this is sold.
It has a plain white cover no pictures or anything.
The disc hasnt been played much and is quite good.
Its a 7" 45 rpm but not as bendy as a normal 45 record so its made with something rigid inside the vinyl and is slightly heavier than a normal vinyl. The white label is a little discoloured and has a few 'age' specks but all in all its in pretty good shape, not warped or anything.
Good Luck. Tracked postage, signed for only on this item, thanks.
