Hi, 
I have some interesting classical records listed; some rare TEST PRESSINGS, great classical lps and some Chinese Classical. Please have A LOOK AT MY OTHER AUCTIONS. HAPPY TO COMBINE ORDERS FOR CHEAPER SHIPPING PER ITEM
This item is:

• Walter Gieseking, (piano) with either Karajan or Rosbaud conducting The Philharmonia Orchestra
• Mozart Piano Concerto No.24
• Columbia 12" Single (1) x sided TEST PRESSING
• Matrix: XAX 630-2N
• Record is EX+
• An interesting record, I wish I could find out more about the history - Gieseking recorded Concerto No.24 with Karajan conducting, released on 33CX 1526 with matrix number XAX 1053, which is a completely different matrix to this Test Pressing.
• Gieseking recorded Mozart's Piano Concerto No.25 with Rosbaud, this was released on 33CX 1235 with matrix number XAX 631 - this is the matrix number directly after this Test Pressing - is it possible that Gieseking and Rosbaud recorded Concerto No.24 at the same time as No.25, concentric Concertos Nos. 24 & 25 with concentric matrix numbers XAX 630 & 631, but for some reason it was never issued???
• Housed in an EMI 'USE EMITEX' sleeve, date stamped 10 April 1959, please see the photos
• This is a test pressing - The audio may not be identical or representative of the final release
