UNIT 4 + 2 , was a British pop rock band formed in the early 1960s, best known for their hit Concrete and Clay. Blending folk, rock, and pop influences, their music was characterized by catchy melodies and vocal harmonies. Initially a four-piece group (hence "UNIT 4 "), they later expanded with two additional members, which inspired the "PLUS 2" in their name. They were part of the 1960s British music scene, achieving moderate success and leaving a lasting impression with their unique sound during that era.
