UNPLAYED in SHRINK - JIMI HENDRIX Electric Ladyland US original 2 color labels

Up for auction here is an unplayed US 1st pressing of Jimi Hendrix's "Electric Ladyland" on the orange and tan Reprise label label, catalog # 2RS 6307. The 2 LP set was sealed when I bought it in a collection of records that was stored poorly in someone's basement. I was fairly certain from the vintage of the other records in the collection and the cool old store stickers on the shrinkwrap that it was a 1st pressing. But because of the amount of ringwear BENEATH the shrinkwrap (and the high value of the set), I decided to open it to ascertain that it was not a reseal (I figured it unlikely with those vintage stickers, but had never seen that much ringwear beneath shrinkwrap before) and to also find out if it was a 1st pressing on the orange and tan label or a later pressing. I filmed the opening of it and have put the video up on youtube so you can be sure that this truly was sealed right up until 9/13/2017. Some may be disappointed that I opened up the sealed LP, but there's other sealed ones out there if you want to plunk down the cash (and not be truly certain if it's a 1st pressing).

As you can see in the video, it IS a first pressing on the orange & brown labels. Furthermore, I can happily say that the records are clearly unplayed.....no marks on the vinyl and no marks by the spindle holes. As beautiful as the day they came off the pressing machine. The inner sleeves are Reprise factory sleeves that both have splits on one side (either because of the initial shipping or the years of improper storage). They will come with the original split sleeves, but the LPs will be shipped in deluxe lined sleeves (and I'd be happy to give your records an ultrasonic cleaning before shipping if you desire it .....no extra charge). The cover is in the original shrinkwrap, but it has plenty of flaws. In addition to the ringwear, there is heavy corner wear and bottom seam wear to the two corners where the shrinkwrap pulled away years ago. But the main draw on this is (to me) those cool vintage price stickers on front and the unplayed status of the LPs. And don't forget, this is a gatefold....and being in the shrinkwrap all these years means no one has ever seen the inside. If it were me, I'd search for a minty cover to join up with these minty LPs and have my ultimate US original of Jimi's magnum opus.

At the winning bidder's request, I will be happy to slit open any of the sealed LPs I am selling this week to remove them and ship outside the cover to protect the seams from seam splits during shipping. I can only accept returns on sealed records that are still sealed.

Shipping is $4 in the US (or $8 for Priority Mail), $17 to Canada and $30 to the rest of the world. Additional LPs are $1 each in the US, $3 each to Canada and $6 each to the rest of the world. Records are shipped in dedicated record mailers with padded inserts. I spend a lot of time and money on shipping with care so your record looks as good when it arrives as it did when it left.
