Description

The V.I.P.s / Art - I Think I'm Going Weird
A genuine artefact of the psychedelic era, this 1967 record is a super rare / unique unreleased acetate 7" single of this fantastic track, never released as a 45 (but later re-recorded by the band when they changed their name to Spooky Tooth and put on the b-side of their 1st single under that name
This track was obviously recorded just before the group changed their name to Art for the release of the Supernatural Fairy Tales LP, as the name written on the label is V.I.P.s
As an acetate, I can't grade this record the same as a normal 45, due to their its inherent fragility as an acetate but I have played it carefully once, and it does seem to play all the way through, with some pops or clicks there is surface noise, the record does not look in the best of condition but you can hear all of the track.
I'm not sure if its the same take / mix as the LP version, it may well be different but I didn't want to keep playing it to test so as not to ruin the playing surface
