UNUSED Rare Jimi Hendrix Ticket March 27th, 1968 AND Are You Experienced LP

Deal of a lifetime for Hendrix lovers (and anyone that isn't, well...I can't say it here).  Rummaging through my wife's dad's stuff (may he rest in peace), she pulled out a ticket.  I couldn't believe it.  But, we live in New Castle, Indiana, which is about 13 miles away from where this concert went down in Muncie.  Her dad had the ticket (he was 17 at the time) but didn't go!  Anyhow, being a research buff, I tracked down anything and everything about this gig and this ticket.  In an interview with the Muncie Star, which came out March 29th, the Promoter talked about the show, March 27th, 1968.  He mentioned that Jimi and the boys were staying at the Holiday Inn on Madison Street.  It's now a Red Roof Inn, but is being demolished - however I managed to get some pictures and found an old postcard of, sure enough, the Holiday Inn.  I was standing where the band stayed.  This was about a mile and a half from the Delaware State Fairground, still owned by the Lion's Club.  Snapped a few photos...traveled a bit back in time.  Groovy.

Anyhow, the Promotor, Jeff Carter, talked about how they printed up several thousand tickets, but only about 2400 came.  I account that to the fact that this was Jimi's half way leg into the First North American Tour for the Album, Are You Experienced (released in UK 1967, but here in 1968).  In other words, music junkies knew Jimi, but he was not "selling out" in March of that year, yet.  "Purple Haze" was just getting air play.  Can you imagine?  The Number on this ticket is "3889", stamped.  Perforated tear line, yellow.  Having done a little more research, it was confirmed: THIS IS AN AUTHENTIC TICKET.  With the story of my wife's dad, and where we found it - and knowing that the gig was merely 13 miles away, well.....This is a RARE ticket while Jimi is still with Chandler and Hayes (The Experience).  

The LP is a "reissue" 1968 under Warner 7 Records, STEREO.  I still play records, and this one plays just fine.  Original Reprise Sleeve.  I couldn't pass up fusing together the LP he was promoting at the time with a ticket to boot.  In the end, I am - like my dad - a seller.  I find, I sell.  And, my brain is off on other things.  So, why not let some other fan enjoy a little flashback, old style?

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND adding Insurance.  Item will be PACKED secure with care.  I DO NOT recommend Media Mail, but the best in terms of priority mail.  USPS is going through some hassles right now, but I will use them, or confer with the buyer with what you want to do.  I don't want ANYTHING happening to this package!
