Description

This is an original FIRST and only pressing 7" record by The Upholsterers released in 2000 on the Sympathy for the Record Industry label. This is basically a White Stripes release, only with Brian Muldoon on drums. Jack White sings and plays guitar. This was released a bit before the White Stripes became so popular. This record comes with six inserts: a textile sample (this is "grains of sand"), a Third Man Upholstery sticker, a Klomp Upholstering Co. business card, a Muldoon Studio business card, a special fold-out photo show of Jack and Brian upholstering a heart-shaped chair, and a Third Man Upholstery business card. Jack White's phone number on this business card has been blacked out with a marker (but not very well, I might add). The exclusive songs are: "Apple of My Eye", "I Ain't Superstitious (W. Dixon)" and "Pain (Gimme Sympathy)" (J.Starr) Basically, three amazing 1st-LP era WHITE STRIPES-type songs, but only recorded as "the UPHOLSTERERS" This has been out of print for some time now, and one with all of the inserts in such good shape doesn't come up often.
