Uriah Heep : Conquest A2/B2

For this auction I am selling a number of progressive/heavy rock records that have been so well preserved down the years and many of them hardly played.  I am moving house soon so want to 'shift' a lot of my stock quickly so unfortunately do not have the time to describe each track in detail as I generally do.  However, I will still play every track in full (such a chore!) so as to provide a 'complete' grading.

This first pressing plays with audio that can only be described 'as new'.  The clarity, depth and power of the audio is stunning and I would not be surprised if this vinyl had never been played before such is the sonic quality on offer.

The cover is in excellent condition with only very minimal wear and the lyric inner has been incredibly well preserved also.

Visual grading

The vinyl is in beautiful condition and looks unplayed.  It has an immaculate jet-black glossy sheen with no marks, scratches or hairlines and it looks 'as new' truth be told.  The Bronze labels are in perfect condition with no spindle wear.

Play Grading

The quiet intro on 'No Return' plays with perfect clarity and that applies to the rest of the track also.  'Imagination' plays to the same standard and the final two tracks on the side are just as strong.  A Mint side for sure, the clarity and power of the audio are equal to that of an unplayed record.

S2 also plays with exceptional clarity through all the four tracks.  There are no clicks or pops and no background static either.  'Out On The Street' provides a fine example of the clarity on offer here - there are so many quiet sections and yet the playback is stunning with only a small number of mega quiet dust ticks.  This album may not be their finest hour but there is no denying the quality of the audio.

The Cover & Lyric Inner

The cover is in great condition with only one small scuff mark on the front cover top right with a small sticker removal mark next to it that you can hardly see.  The edges, spine and corners are in superb shape and the white back cover is totally unmarked.  The lyric inner is so close to perfect with only a couple of very faint marks - marks is too strong a word for it really, they are very difficult to spot!

Play tested on my Pro-Ject Essential III Turntable // B & W 684 Speakers

This record has been professionally cleaned on a Pro-Ject VC-S machine
