PRESSED ON HEAVYWEIGHT VINYL WITH THE FIRST ISSUE BRONZE LABELS (with "Marketed and distributed by Island Records Limited" statement and Island i logo)  MATRIX: ILPS 9193 A-1U / ILPS 9193 B-1U (machine stamped)  

THE RECORD IS HOUSED IN THE ORIGINAL MATT, ROGER DEAN DESIGNED, GATEFOLD SLEEVE (with its outrageous phallic imagery) "Printed and made by Tinsley Robor Group Ltd".

This is probably the best condition super scarce vinyl I have listed this year. Its condition is nothing short of awesome.

This is the album that solidified Uriah Heep's reputation as a master of gothic-inflected heavy metal.  From short, sharp rock songs to lengthy, musically dense epics, Demons and Wizards finds Uriah Heep covering all the bases with style and power.  The album's approach is set with its lead-off track, "The Wizard": it starts as a simple acoustic tune but soon builds into a stately rocker that surges forth on a wall of sound built from thick guitar riffs, churchy organ, and operatic vocal harmonies.  Other highlights include "Traveller in Time," a fantasy-themed rocker built on thick wah-wah guitar riffs, and "Circle of Hands," a stately power ballad with a gospel-meets-heavy metal feel to it. However, the top highlight of the album is the closing medley of "Paradise" and "The Spell": the first part of the medley starts in an acoustic folk mode and slowly adds layers of organ and electric guitar until it becomes a forceful slow-tempo rocker, while the second half is a punchy, organ-led rocker that includes an instrumental midsection where choral-style harmonies fortify a killer guitar solo from Mick Box. All in all, Demons and Wizards works both as a showcase for Uriah Heep's instrumental firepower and an excellent display of their songwriting skills in a variety of hard rock styles and as a result, it is considered by many fans to be their finest hour

IT WILL BE A LONG TIME BEFORE THIS TURNS UP AGAIN IN THIS SPLENDID CONDITION WITH AGAIN MORE TAKERS THAN EVER BEFORE. THIS IS AN EXCELLENT INVESTMENT PIECE.

THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1972 UK 1ST PRESSING WITH A BEAUTIFUL ORIGINAL GATEFOLD SLEEVE. 

Vinyl: EX++ to NM.  Probably  unplayed. Audio is A++and this vinyl sounds out of this world, a majestic album that is rarely ever found in such amazing pristine condition. The audio has beautiful separation and there is no background noise. I played this twice in full and thoroughly enjoyed it. I was even tempted to keep this as it will be very hard to find this again. Needless to say NO jumps, clicks or ticks. This will be a fantastic upgrade for most long time collectors!!

 Gatefold Sleeve: EX+ to NM. Fantastic looked after sleeve without any wear or damage.  Beautiful deep unfaded colours. Impossible to find this very scarce album in this well preserved condition. Fully legible spine. There is not even any storage wear with the album having been kept in a protective sleeve from day one!! No writing, no marks , the best I have ever come across!! Please look at the pictures supplied. Just one tiny mini scuff on the top edge of the back gate. Absolutely minimal but just had to mention it. This is an ultimate upgrade copy, you won't find better!!

 

This is a unique investment opportunity!!! The next prog album to go completely through the roof. Finding this album in any condition at all is nearly impossible so late in the day. Get this while you still can. This value of the album is only going to go one way ... up and up ... until it will be totally unavailable at all for a reasonable price.
