Welcome to 'Its the vinyl countdown' music auctions. Here you will find some of the most incredible rare records and music memorabilia for your collection. We pride ourselves on auctioning only the highest grade records and items, you will not see anything listed here below EX+ condition, unles the item is extremely rare. You will not see worn covers, warped records or scratched records. We simply do not bother with them.
We list in many cases, 'Archived' & 'mint' condition items, we are able to source from private collections all over the UK. So we hope you can be put at ease that what you are bidding on is of the highest quality.
We play through most of the records, unless the item is clearly mint, or sealed..in which case we don't play them, thus maintaining their 'unplayed' status! Obviously with some of these rare items there will be the odd 'anomoly' along the way , the odd little static pop or lead in 'sizzle' for a split second.. nothing is perfect we find! all systems differ, but we aim to describe these as accurately as possible for you.... THE VINYLS EX+
As you can see, this vinyl is the 1973 EARLY HEAVYWEIGHT pressing- Stored from new this LP has seen AVERAGE CAREFUL PLAYS
This HEAVYWEIGHT pressing is a superb vinyl SET which has retained its amazing glossy sheen and finish. There is virtually no dulling anywhere and overall it is in incredible condition for an LP set of this age. The edges are silky smooth, typical of these vintage pressings. We are seing fewer and fewer copies of this LP, so rarely do we see a copy at all, let alone like this.
There are some spider lines around the centre holes, but no wear to the spindle holes whatsoever.
There are some fine whisp lines, a few little dull marks, and a couple of hairlines on both vinyls -
On playing through we heard SOME LIGHT lead in static in the dead grooves..And some light static in a few places along the way but nothing bad at all, and certainly no loud sizzle.
all four sides played great and a joy to hear such a stunning live album sound so big and rich!
OVERALL THIS IS SIMPLY A MUST FOR ANY FINAL UPGRADE COLLECTION. YOU WILL NOT SEE BETTER.

This is in simply incredible condition, quite amazing how it has survived so clean.
A terror for bad laminate wear and loose booklet/stapling etc
HERE WE HAVE A REAL BEAUTY..SUPERB CLEAN WITH HARDLY ANY DULLING AT ALL
The edges are all super clean with NO traces of rub, at all , and all colours and inks remain in outstanding condition
No powdery white ringwear - Some very very feint dull ring press, and all edges are super crisp.
Some tip rub on the open ends only & just a couple of tiny spider lines on the SPINE edge
The spine edge is totally unmarked with no wear. Has some very light discolour
The gatefold is superb with the booklet attached and in top condition, no wear or damage to the pages
The open edge remains in immaculate sharp condition -just some very light feathering
We cannot add any more than this! ITS A BEAUTY!
THE INNER SLEEVES EX+
CORRECT PAPER PRINTED 'NEWSPAPER' INNERS WITH THE THUMB GROOVE with POLY INNERS AS EXTRA ADDITION.
THERE IS NO DISCOLOUR OF ANY NOTE, AND JUST ONE TINY LITTLE SCISSOR REPAIR ON ONE SLEEVE WHICH IS HARDLY VISIBLE.
A TRUE MONSTER OF AN ALBUM TO BID FOR!!!
