Description

MEGA RARE Original 1970 UK Vertigo 1st Pressing 'Very 'Eavy Very 'Umble' by Uriah Heep!!! Mega Rare Nr Mint UK 1st Press on Vertigo Swirl Labels!!! Complete with Rare UK 1st Press Laminated Gatefold Sleeve and Original Vertigo Swirl Inner Sleeve!!! In Unbelievable Nr Mint Vinyl Condition!!!

From my own pristine collection of rare 1960's & 70's Prog/Psych/Rock & Folk, you are bidding on the mega-scarce and sought after 'Very 'Eavy Very 'Umble' by Uriah Heep. However what makes this example so rare is that it is the true UK Vertigo 1st pressing, on the original swirl labels, 1st press Laminated Swirl Logo Gatefold Jacket and Original SwirlPoly-lined Inner Sleeve!!! Not only that but this vinyl is in sensational Nr Mint condition, like many original Vertigo releases, most copies I have seen for sale over the past few years have been absolutely trashed and are full of scratches and very nasty looking. Not this one - it is truly pristine without so much as a hairline on it!!! See below for a detailed description. This UK Vertigo 1st pressing is extremely hard to find today and only very rarely shows up - and never in Nr Mint vinyl condition like this - don't miss it!

Cat No:

Matrix:

Side 1 - 6360006 1//1

Side 2 - 6360006 2//1

Not only is this the rarest pressing you will find of this amazing record - it is also in Nr Mint condition!!! This 1st press vinyl is in superb condition, it is really is a beautiful looking record and retains all of its deep mirror-like lustre and shine and has NO groove-wear!!  The cool 1st press swirl centre labels are stunning! Nice and clean and white with NO grubbyness, NO scuffs, tears, blemishes and no unwanted writing/ scribbles. There is just very faint evidence of spindle lines around the spindle hole, which can only be seen when angling the disc toward a window and that's it!! What can I say about the vinyl that I have not already said? It is stone cold Mint- with NO Scratches, No scuffing, NO Hairlines NO Bagrash, NO blemishes of any kind at all! Nothing - It is absolutely perfect!!! This disc looks like it came off the master press this morning!!! It has all the deep shine a newly pressed record that as only ever been played once or at the most twice before!!!  Impossible for a UK Vertigo 1st pressing of this album!!! The record still retains ALL of its original gloss and shine and has NO dulling and NO nasty greying of the grooves!!! I am very pleased to state that this is a record that also plays as good as it looks!!! It it has NO jumps, NO skips, NO between track crackle and NO nasty loud pops!!! The thick quality pressed chunky 1970's vinyl looks and feels great. I have no hesitation whatsoever with grading this vinyl as a strong Mint-!!! Its as simple as that it does not have a single blemish to it - not even a hairline!!! It is that most elusive of things, a true Mint- UK Vertigo 1st pressing (suitable for the highest grade Mint- Vertigo collection - you will not find a better example!!) Now we get to the 1st press laminated sleeve. It has NO nasty Seam Wear and NO Scribbles/Writing, marks or blemishes anywhere!!! The spine is in excellent condition with nice legible spine text. The thick laminate is in STUNNING condition!!! There is NO discolouration and the colours are still bright and vibrant!!! Importantly there is absolutely NO laminate cracking or peeling anywhere (apart from a little to the spine which is inevitable). There are just some small laminate creases coming out from the spine edges on both sides. There is also some mild feathering to the opening edges. The unlaminated inner gatefold does have some minor issues. I has some mild waviness (only light) and some very small patches of picture lifting and text transference from one side to the other. This is not too serious and is not hugely noticeable but is worth mentioning, it is probably from the sleeve becoming slightly damp at one stage.  All in all superb example of this awesome sleeve featuring, as usual, some very cool Vertigo artwork!!! It that easily grades as at least Very Good!!! This is in no way overgraded!!!  Comes complete with its ORIGINAL 'Black & White Swirl' Inner sleeve, which aside from some very mild yellowing to the edges is in STUNNING Mint- condition!!! The inner is perfect with NO discolouration and NO writing/scribbles!!! Importantly, it has NO seam wear or splitting, and NO separation of the inner poly-lining as is common with these original fragile inner sleeves. It is very rare to find these original inner sleeves in this condition anymore and to further protect this one during shipping, it will safely be tucked away, empty, inside the outer jacket. The actual disc will come to you housed in a replacement poly-lined inner sleeve and will be housed outside the jacket. This will protect the rare original inner sleeve from 'knifing' damage to the seams from the record during transit  (see my packing information below for more details).

A massively rare UK 1st pressing indeed - especially in this condition!!!  This is one of those original Vertigo LP's with a seriously underestimated rarity value!!! You just never see this record anymore in the UK, and on the rare occasions they turn up it is NEVER in Nr Mint condition like this one!!! A great album and a sound investment for the future! Don't Miss!

Like the vast majority of my collection, this record has been archived in a smoke & damp free environment for the best part of 20-30 years!

All my records have No reserve, a Low Start and No Surcharges!

We always combine postage so if you win more than 1 auction you save money on postage costs! We will only ship to non-UK countries via Airmail - we do not use surface mail, it is way too slow and thus increases the risk of records being damaged during transit.

A little note about insurance - Please read carefully... If the value of your record(s) is over £30, your invoice will include an insured option. Being the responsible adults you are, it is entirely up to you to take this up  - we strongly advise you to do this but will not hassle you about it. You either add the required insurance or you don't. If you do add the required insurance and your record is lost/damaged, you will get a refund. Refunds & Feedback ... Please read this carefully ... We try to give you the best quality examples of rare records available. However, there will always be somebody out there whose expectations far exceed UK record collector grading standards.  If you are in anyway unsatisfied with your record or our grading of it please refer to the UK Record Collector Grading Chart very carefully BEFORE emailing us. We strictly adhere to it and will only offer refunds (minus the postage AND our eBay costs) if we are satisfied that we have fallen below UK record collector grading standards. This will very rarely, if ever, happen. We will not be impressed with buyers disputing our gradings without even bothering to check the UK record collector grading standards chart first - you have been warned ...

Buyers who continually Haggle, Whine and Moan to try to decrease the price they won their auctions for will be blocked from bidding on future auctions and can toodle off down to HMV or Virgin where they can harass the counter staff there.

We will always leave feedback upon receipt of feedback. In an ideal world we would like to leave feedback as soon as the record has been shipped but due to feedback blackmail in the past (i,e, ",,,I want a partial refund or I will leave negative feedback") we have opted to take this measure. Contact must be made within 3 days of winning the auction. If payment has not been received after 10 days a non paying bidder alert will be placed. If payment is then not received within 7 days Negative feedback WILL be left and the buyer WILL be given a strike by eBay. Thanks for reading.
