First press matrices 1Y and 2Y with the earliest stampers machined into the deadwax. 

 This is the mega early and the rarest to ever find especially in this condition, with the track credits on the labels very few were pressed (normally seen without) This vinyl was pressed from the 1st\earliest master, hence earliest matrices and mothers! (rarely seen and the most scarce to ever find, impossible in this barely condition!)  This early pressing is rare in any condition to find, but this will be a certain upgrade for most collectors with a sublime condition ultra heavy vinyl ! Absolutely as near  perfect mint audio quality on my systems, this plays almost as good as new in my opinion without any distortion or grooveware (no) clicks or pops in fact almost silent in between tracks, the separation is truly awesome throughout and a real rich and deep bassey feel!!

A half year after the release of the debut album “...Very 'eavy...Very 'umble“ Uriah Heep went to the studio to record their second studio album “Salibury”. Musically they continued where they stopped on the previous album. The album is probably the most progressive in the discography of the band, the epic title track, which has multiple parts and a running time of 16 minutes is proof enough. The album is not only one of the most progressive it’s also probably the finest hour of guitarist Mick Box and one of the best LP's in the band’s catalogue. 
The title track is an epic, which showcases Ken Hensley as an organist but also the majestic voice of David Byron and Mick Box who plays a mind-blowing guitar solo during the last part of the song. Other highlights are the hard rocking opener “Bird of Prey”, the heavy “Time to Love” and the anthem like “High Priestess”.  The best-known track is the beautiful “Lady in Black”, which became Uriah Heep’s biggest hit, many years after the release of this album. The folk rock song features great lyrics and never gets old in my opinion, since I still enjoy listening this song, even tough this song was played over and over again on radio stations for many years after. And then there is of course the superb haunting 'The Park' .........

Vinyl: EX+ . Great extremely heavy first  press vinyl (147 gr) . A beautiful heavy glossy vinyl.   Under a strong light some wispy retraction paper traces can be seen, in a normal light this looks in over the counter condition and it has barely been played. This is testified by the fact that there are no visible spindle traces. I have played this on my Linn/Rotel/B&W set up and it did not disappoint. Strong audio which is of course the loud cut of the very first pressing for this LP. The vinyl is heavy, in fact much heavier than the second swirl press. There are NO skips or jumps. This will be an ultimate upgrade for most prog collectors.

Gatefold sleeve:  VG++ to EX.  A great gatefold sleeve and the original matt one, this has been stored by a serious prog collector for decades, this oozes quality. All edges are fine and the spine is 100% legible. There is only very light storage wear over the edges. A couple of very small creases and even the opening is still crisp and sharp. The inside gatefold is sublime and has all credits. NO writing, NO stains, NO tears.
